In the News: Announcing Attorney Ben DuPré’s Departure for the Alabama Attorney General’s Office

October 27, 2025 //  by adminmain

The Adoption Law Firm announces that Attorney Ben DuPré has accepted an offer to join the Alabama Attorney General’s Office next month. Ben will join a team of Assistant Attorneys General defending our communities and advocating for justice for Alabama families forever changed by murder and crime.

“I have loved my time at The Adoption Law Firm,” said Ben. “Our adoptive and foster parents are absolute heroes, protecting and caring for orphans and at-risk children. I am forever changed by the honor of serving them at The Adoption Law Firm and alongside my friend Sam and his phenomenal team members.”

Ben continued, “But with a legal career that includes defending the God-given right to life in court and working 14 years at the Alabama Supreme Court, I am excited for the opportunity to serve and protect the people of Alabama in State government again.”

While at The Adoption Law Firm, Ben has effectively advocated for abused, at-risk, and abandoned children to find loving and stable homes through adoption. “The work we do is complex,” said Founder Sam McLure. “To protect a single child, we often traverse different courts within a county and throughout the state. Some cases even require our advocacy and assistance in different states and countries.”

Sam continued, “Since joining our firm in early 2025, Ben has been a real asset to our work and to our firm, and he will be missed We wish him all the best in his next role protecting Alabama families with the Attorney General.”
